First I have to report that I accidentally ordered the wrong size headlight for my 2005 1200c Sportster. 7 inch. Unfortunately my headlight was 5 3/4. Although I made it! These lights arrived VERY well packaged. The instructions were at the top and the first thing you see. In the box there is a headlight, two low beam bulbs (with plugs) and some alternative headlight plugs so they can be plugged in and used with some other brands. To install the low beam bulbs, simply unscrew the Phillips head screws at the bottom of the lights. You can then remove the decorative ring. Be careful as the decorative ring is the only thing holding the light. Factory low beam headlamps connect with "female" connectors. Just slide the connector off the back of the old lamp. You can then mount the pin headers on your new Z off-road LED low beam headlights. Be sure to install DOT-approved lightbulbs from the top. Place the new LED low beams in their respective cups, put on the trim ring, making sure everything is centered. Boom! Your low beam bulbs are now bright white LEDs. For my 7" light solution, I purchased a separate Revain 7" motorcycle bucket and installed a new 7" bucket in place of the 5 3/4 headlight. Installing the LED headlight afterwards was easy. Cut off the ring, connect the LED harness to the factory harness. Then make sure the DOT is back up, the headlight and bucket have 3 notches that slide into each other. You will know your headlight is centered by using them. Put on the decorative ring, tighten and you're ready to go! If your bike has a factory 7 inch headlight, it will take 10 minutes. If you have a 5 inch headlight, you need to buy one. 7 inch bucket and place it back in its original 5 3/4 place. Maybe 15 minutes max.
