So nice (run-wise) to be back with my trusty Kayanos! For a while I experimented again with Nike. I made the mistake of buying the shiny Lunarglide 3. I know that judgments on running shoes are relative. One size doesn't fit all. These Lunarglide 3 might be right for some people, but for me they brought my Achilles tendon pain back to the surface. I felt this pain after finishing 3 pairs of Nike Vomeros (2+, 3 and 4) and a pair of Nike Pegasus 25. The pain got pretty bad and I decided to switch to a stability shoe, choosing the Kayano 16. Almost magical, running shoes, the pain is gone. After 680 miles I got a second pair. When running everything was fine. But when I saw the extra stability advertised for the Nike Lunarglide 3, I gave it a try. Mistake! And not just because of renewed Achilles tendon pain, but also because her shiny soles were gone after just 300 miles! Nice trick by Nike to get you to visit their stores twice as often! Now I'm back at good old Kayano's and, knock on wood, my Achilles tendon pain is gone! Magic! Let's see if her run is as good as before. Have fun running everyone!
