Bought these for our young son to expand the imaginative open ended play possibilities. We are very happy with the quality, durability, secure fit and most importantly the color gradient: each size is a logical continuation of the color of the adjacent cups! Large numbers are also embossed on the bottom, but the shades themselves are a guide or tutorial depending on your child's ability. I've seen thicker stackable cups that may one day be their bottom foot, but for general play they're great and I wouldn't exactly call them flimsy. Also, I would be lying if I said that myself, my wife and our 5 year old daughter didn't enjoy playing with it either. Great investment for a toy box.
