I needed battery operated lanterns for the Christmas decorations. These lights are small, light weight and very easy to use. I've used them to light up existing decor and made some centerpiece lights by placing them in fruit jars and placing them on tables. Use your imagination. They are cool. Not sure how long the batteries will last, but they were fine when I took off my Christmas decorations. If they came with a remote control and worked like that, that would be a huge improvement. I ordered a few pieces last year, but then I didn't understand the colors of the lights. I bought transparent. They were cool and kind of blue. So I made sure they were a warm white with a slight yellow cast.
