I was hesitant to buy a mattress based on some reviews but it's not bad. It's a bit like an air mattress, only in the sense that you roll around a bit when you're at the edges. Rather for those who sleep in the middle of the bed. I had the mattress expand on a flat surface for 48 hours (although 72 hours is preferred), it expanded to 9.5 inches in 48 hours and I was fine with that, but it might expand to a full 10 inches if I would go another day. It says to expand with the zipper side down, so I think that might be why people were having trouble (I thought that means the green part is up, so if you look at the mattress, it is the white layer closest to the table/flat and then the green layer is on top) I think people had trouble stretching to full height. Because it's reversed when you put it on the bed.
