Sturdy hold in all types of sandy and wind!

This Anchor works great! I went on a road trip through Florida and used this to anchor my umbrella on several different beaches with different weather and types of sand. I noted on many occasions that our umbrella was the straightest and sturdiest one on the beach! You simply screw the anchor as far as you can in the sand the slide your umbrella in the hole and tighten. It was good for all day shade on the beach!

Pros
  • I don't have any videosl
Cons
  • It may require a lot of effort to screw the anchor deep into the ground

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Only used it once but.

Ticket to the beach inserted it in the sand, it was easy to twist it into the sand and was very sturdy to start. As the wind picked up it rocked it back-and-forth and loosened the stand so that it started to fall over. Had to screw it in a little further but again the wind rocks the umbrella which pulls the stand over but it is the best anchor of you so far

Pros
  • Way better than an earlier anchor that I am throwing away!!
Cons
  • It may not be compatible with all types of beach umbrellas

Works great best in my review

This was a replacement from a local store. It worked much better as the square base was a more stable unit than the round base that we had previously. The fact that it worked with a larger shaft and a smaller shaft for the umbrella units was very useable.

Pros
  • I buy the same anchor for every umbrella. This is the best one
Cons
  • The anchor may be difficult to find in the sand

Great anchor in my review

I have been using this for over a year now. Does a great job. I had bought a pvc anchor first and it was horrible. Liked this one so much I bought a second one a year later for second umbrella.

Pros
  • This is very easy to use compared to the other plastic ones we’ve had in the past.
Cons
  • It may be cumbersome to set up and take down

Holds up in hard dirt!

I know this was made for sand, but you should also know that it holds up extremely well when mounted in dirt! Last summer I used a heavy duty plastic holder for my garden umbrella, but after being in the elements for 6 months, it cracked when I tried to take it out of the dirt. This one is made of metal, and even though my husband had a hard time screwing it into the soil, it held up beautifully. This should last for years to come!

Pros
  • Very sturdy & easy to use. Gives great support to my beach umbrella!
Cons
  • The anchor may not work on very windy days

very sturdy metal. Only flaw is that the central tube .

It worked really well to hold our umbrella in place on a very windy day. Well built, very sturdy metal. Only flaw is that the central tube is open at the bottom, meaning that it fills with sand as you screw the auger into the soil. It works best to secure the umbrella pole into the auger before screwing the auger into place.

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The anchor may be too tall for some smaller individuals to use comfortably

These are awesome, sturdy metal sand anchors.Just keep in mind that the hole for umbrella is less than 1-1/2" inside diameter and will not fit a larger, umbrella.

Pros
  • Works great!
Cons
  • It may not work on slopes or inclines

Awesome beach tool!

I used one of these sand anchors for YEARS until it rusted out. (Note to self: always make sure the anchor is dry before storing it, so the bolt/screw part don't rust & become immobile.) I started looking for a replacement, but had a hard time finding a sturdy metal one.most of them are plastic & a waste of money. This one's metal, and it works great.

Pros
  • LIGHTWEGIHT & EASY TO CARRY- The AMMSUN beach umbrella sand anchor is designed for your convenient use that it comes with an sand anchor bag and it weighs only 1.2 pounds, making it less of a burden and easy to take anywhere such as beach, campground or water park.
Cons
  • The metal base may become unstable over time

Study as hell! best in my review

The tank of anchors. This is the best anchor money can buy. We used this at VA beach and at Lewes, DE. In DE it was WINDY! Our umbrella didn’t go anywhere! We ended up buying two because this one worked so well and is so sturdy.

Pros
  • Very easy to use, it comes with it's own little carry bag and the price is reasonable for the quality.
Cons
  • The metal base may be too heavy for children or elderly individuals to carry

Wind blew it out of the sand on first use. Second use put it in even deeper than the square plate, which required to dig around the plate to submerge it below the sand then cover it. Even milder wind than first time blew it out of the sand. After those two episodes of running down the umbrella with this anchor attached, I persisted and it has worked. But if these was any wind I had to watch closely and reset it when it started to slip out.A month later I was walking around the local Walmart…

Pros
  • I was extremely happy with this purchase. It did its job perfectly.
Cons
  • The metal base may cause damage to the umbrella

No plastic conical stop in barrel

Solid build. Needs a comical plastic stop at the end of the barrel. Comes open and when drilled into the sand, sand plugs up the barrel preventing the umbrella from going down all the way down. Who ever approved this design dropped the ball.

Pros
  • Just getting ready for next beach season
Cons
  • It may be difficult to adjust the angle of the umbrella once it is anchored

Good but not great!

Ok, so I am very fair when writing reviews, taking into account user error, flaws in design, usefulness, etc. I REALLY wanted to love this beach umbrella anchor. But I would say there needs to be a redesign of the plastic piece that accompanies it. It is USELESS. Unless you have a larger diameter beach umbrella pole, don't bother with this, because thinner poles need this plastic insert piece in order to operate and it WILL fail on you! It slipped out countless times to where the umbrella went…

Pros
  • ONE SIZE FITS MOST : This anchor fits most size umbrellas by using a thumbscrew tightening mechanism. Fits umbrellas with pole diameter of up to 1.26". For any questions or problems, contact us
Cons
  • The metal base may be prone to corrosion from saltwater exposure

Stable, sturdy all in one umbrella base and driller

Works like a charm in the white sandy beaches of the Gulf coast of florida. Easy to set up in sand. Finally I can put up the umbrella myself.

Pros
  • Well made all steal construction, with an adjustable screw almost any umbrella can fit in it.
Cons
  • The metal base may damage flooring or decking if used in other outdoor environments

DO NOT BUY - my new review

I purchased this to replace a sand grabber that is 15yrs old and getting rusty. This product does not have a closed bottom, as you screw it into the sand, the sand just fills up the inside hole were the umbrella pole gets inserted into. needless to say, if that hole is full of sand the pole cannot fit. DON'T waste your money, find a sand grabber with a closed bottom! It really deserves a ratting of ZERO stars

Pros
  • 9.06 x 4.92 x 14.96 inches
Cons
  • It may be difficult to screw the anchor in straight

Omg. This works. So easy.

I tried this for the first time today. I’m a bit older. Did this solo. Easy and tight into sand. I’m getting another as a gift. PS. Use a market style umbrella with this for good hold in wind.

Pros
  • I like it because it is strong, tough, and durable. It works.
Cons
  • The anchor may require additional tools to screw it into the ground

Necessary! - my new review

I’ve had to chase beach umbrellas down the beach in the past. No more with this gadget. I love how easy it is to get it into the beach sand. And it holds, even in heavy wind!

Pros
  • good product
Cons
  • The anchor may get stuck in the ground permanently

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Need one for the beach wind!

Much better than a plastic one. Onlymdislikemismitmisnhollowmon bottom and so fills with sand. Otherwise, it held up to 10 mph winds well

Pros
  • Heavy duty easy turning into sand.
Cons
  • It may be difficult to remove the anchor from the ground

Works Great - Better Than The Rest

I've tried a few different beach umbrella anchors and the ones with an auger attached work the best. All I have to do is twist this thing and it drives itself into the sand and makes for an excellent umbrella anchor. And it's very sturdy in the wind! The only problem that I see with it is that if high tide starts to roll in and a wave floods our site, this anchor is going to get buried in salt water. Since it's made of metal (and not cheap plastic) it will probably rust very quickly if that…

Pros
  • Gripped the sand well. Had no problems even in 15 mph winds
Cons
  • The anchor may require an excessive amount of force to unscrew from the ground

Does the trick. - my new review

We're happy with this. Previously it was a bit of a challenge to get our umbrella to hold, & this design seems to have done the trick. I like that it's metal. One reviewer said to somewhat put the bottom of your umbrella in it when twisting it in the sand, so that it doesn't fill up with sand. I think that's a good idea. We've tried it twice & so far so good.

Pros
  • Seemed like the perfect gift for someone who spends lots of time at the beach!
Cons
  • It may be difficult to remove sand from the anchor

Twist too short - my new review

Twist should be shorter to allow better & easier penetration into beach sand. Not the best value as it could be built better.

Pros
  • Great Beach umbrella anchor. Easy to use and good value for the price.
Cons
  • It may not work in high traffic beach areas where the ground is compacted
