This is a great option for shade vs the more expensive ones on the market. Installed this at one of our rentals because the area gets full sun all day. The renters love it and can now enjoy their patio without the brutal sun heating things up. Bought another for one of our other rentals that we will install in next week.

You will be amazed at the difference that these shade sails make. I have 3 sails in various parts of my backyard and would recommend it for an attractive solution vs. a pergola, etc. It took me a couple of attempts to get the correct size. I called Sunshades Depot and they were helpful. Measure the area that you want to cover and then subtract 1.5 to 2 feet off of the length. I use the structure eyebolts and turnbuckles to get the sail tight with no wrinkles. I will add pictures.

Tis was the 3rd sun sail we purchased for out deck. Took some advice from another reviewer, that said to get a sail smaller than your area, at least by 2 feet. The 14x18 was perfect, it doesn't cover the whole area perfectly, bit that's what happens with these, their shape isn't a perfect rectangle or square. Living in the AZ desert and not having a garage, I put up one of these to see if it would help at reducing the in-cartemperature during the summer. So far so good! This product seems to be of good quality. I do recommend purchasing a hardware kit, in addition to the included rope. Definitely make sure you follow the guidelines for size. We bought it to shade the east side of the house as the bedrooms get super warm in the morning and stay that way all day. We have noticed a reduction of heat in the bedrooms so it is working! It is not water proof, it is designed to let water through and that is a great feature; water does not gather on the surface causing puddles above you! Of course, sitting on the swing in a rain shower is not a dry experience. It does allow plenty of light through to the windows while fulfilling its purpose

We covered our patio with this shade. It is of very high quality and I love the cable system. We hung it low. 7 feet on one end and nine feet on the other. It holds heat at that level and emits a huge that I dislike. I will likely return it for those reasons and will have to buy an inferior tan one because to get this one in tan is $548 which is outrageous considering that I paid$118 for the blue.

Very durable and has survived high winds and heavy storms. Rope is strong enough to tie it down and not go anywhere. Recommended for sure

Can't rate durability, as we just put it up today. We needed some shade on our deck - this works well for mid-day, but will need to do something on the one side for late afternoon/early evening. We wanted more shade than our slatted patio cover gave, so we installed the Sunshade underneath. The white rope on all four corners is used to pull the sunshade taut while hooking the adjustable tarp straps in place (Smart Straps). Leaving the ropes in the grommets has allowed us to make easy adjustments when the shade sagged/stretched. It’s easy to install however we can’t seem to get it tight enough to make it not blow all around in the middle ,, we will have to try diff devices to pull it taut but over all it’s ok does the job for what we need it does seem to relax after you try and pull it tight like after a pair of jeans you’ve worn all day the material seems to get looser and billows around when the wind blows - very fast shipping !

Using for my van, tying off my aluminum railings mounted on the top of my van and just looking for basic shade cloth. Durability as expected. The measurements clearly are not 16'X16'. I measured 15'4" X 15'6" at the corners, and curved in to be even less than that in the middle. If you really need full 16'X16' I would not buy this brand. Great price on a well made sun screen. Easy to install and does an excellent job of reducing the sun's hot glare. We had a few windy days since installing this sun screen and it has handled the winds easily.

I bought this a year ago and starting the second season with it and it's just like new. I do take it down and store it in the winter once it starts cooling off. The trick is to purchase one that is 3-4 feet less than the area size. So my back patio is a 16x20 so the 12x16 fits perfect.Putting an angle on it is great for aesthetics but won't do anything about water pooling in the center during a rain. Have put up in the backyard and it is a nice addition to limit the sun when you want to sit outside at a table and just relax or eat. Had to adjust after a few days but other than that it has been great.

Great sunshade, is the 4th one we buy and all of them have been great and durable, easy to install even on your own The shade sail may be difficult to adjust for optimal shade coverage!

It was the right size and it certainly protects from the sun, especially on hot summer days. When installing it, give it some extra rope to tense it up because it will expand a little. Great buy and recomended.

We just installed so even though I gave 5 stars for durability and sturdiness, I don't really know how it will stand up to the west side Arizona sun. It did however do exactly as we were wanting it to. We hung vertical using the 6x6's supporting our patio roof. After waiting an extra few weeks after the promised arrival date the sail shade did arrive and is good quality and very nice to be under. They did promise to give me a 20% refund due to the delay in shipping but never followed through with that so hopefully you don't have to deal with customer service. It's a great product overall.

On the bigger surfaces sails, one needs a support structor able to withstand the wind otherwise, I think they are great, Make you measurement one foot under the exact measurement use bungie cords and the thing is beautiful
