    Nothing sturdy or secure with this base! Stay away !

    The umbrella pole just slides in. Not secure in the hole has room to blow from side to side. So the bottom cap hole does not screw to be secure.nothing is secure with this base at all. Would not bother to purchase if your looking for something sturdy and secure. Even the plug on the top where you out water didn’t scare in . Totally unhappy with this base! Don’t buy!

    Nice product! for my opinion

    I bought this for my backyard oasis to hold my umbrella and really like how it looks. It is sturdy however, my 10" umbrella is a little too heavy and I have had to pick it up a couple times. It was easy to assemble and I would recommend it.

    Nice idea, but can't withstand softening on sunny days

    A+ for concept, D- for practicality. The idea of filling the base stand with water made sense to me. This unit even has little rollers on one side to help move it around. The problem is that when exposed to sunlight, the base stand material (plastic) gets soft as it get warmer outside and cannot support a standard umbrella upright. It's pretty useless.

    bolt is not long enough

    Filling it with water isn't good enough.

    Was easy to assembly & looked really nice until a fairly small wind blew it over.We have a large umbrella in it but it was rolled down.Now it's crooked because the piece where the umbrella slips in is broken loose from the stand.

    Good - It held water and did not leakBad - Design is terrible. Steel Support through plastic is not sturdy and leans at a 10 degree angle. 5 mph breeze and 8 ft. umbrella fell over. Base does not sit flat on concrete. Returned one day after purchase.

    Not Horrible in my review

    This stand is an ok value. I put water in it and it leaks from the cap occasionally. The adapters that come with it are either too big or too small for my umbrella. It holds but it isn't that sturdy. It works for the moment but will invest in better one before long.

    I purchased this thinking it would keep a standard size umbrella upright in our backyard. After filling it up all the way with water it tips over with slight wind gust.

    Base is weak/unstable doesn't work with 10' sunbrella brand.

    Dose not work on my 10 ft sunbrella. Keeps tipping over and the support at the base seems weak or unstable as it tilts and fails to stay upright. Had high hopes it would work but it doesn't at least for the size of shade umbrella I have. Very disappointed that I can not return because the window is already closed. See photos of tilt when sunbrella is open compared to the straight line in the fence. Photo shows the week support of only one screw to tighten at the base.

    Bottom bows out when filled with water, unstable.

    Water fill hole is smaller than a hose, so filling is slow and wastes a lot of water. I can not imagine trying to get sand through that small hole! Once full of water the plastic bottom is so weak that it bows out and gives the stand a weighted round bottom. Great if you want a self righting cup for a todder, not so good for holding up an umbrella.     Holds an 8 ft umbrella well, doesn't tip over like so many do. Filled with about 10 lbs of sand and the rest water. Easy install, tool supplied. .will need a funnel to add the sand., but it’s easy. Fill funnel with sand, then add water to the funnel and sand will fall right in.

    Useful but not the best.

    Plastic and round means easy to roll when filled. It would take sand to make it weigh 50 pounds however. Also, the support pole screws in from the bottom and was pretty wobbly when fully tightened. I wouldn’t use this as a stand alone but under a table would be ok.

    Didn’t work for me, for a surprising reason…

    There is nothing wrong with this product, it’s well made and I’m sure it does the job just fine. But what I didn’t realize was, because of its height it wouldn’t fit under my patio table, which has inward curving legs that interfered with it, such that the table couldn’t rest on the patio floor once I tried to place it over the umbrella base. If it had been half its height, or if my table had been half-again its diameter, it would have been a success. So, if you might have this problem…
