So it's easy to put into the sand and it holds an umbrella nicely until the wind picks up. The screw section is short, which explains the problem when wind picks up. It's unable to be anchored deep enough to hold a good umbrella at that point.

Others have noted that the hollow tube fills with sand when the anchor is screwed in. If you use the lower half of a two part beach umbrella in the tube when you screw it in, you have better alignment and the tube obviously is filled by the umbrella shaft. Much easier

This is much better than the other plastic anchors I've tried in the past. We are staying at Kaanapali Beach for the week. Rather than pay resort prices to rent a beach umbrella, we bought an umbrella at Costco and brought along this anchor. This anchor is rock-solid in the wind. The flange sits snug against the sand and it won't wiggle itself loose like other anchors. It is well made and I anticipate it lasting for decades.

Easy to install into sand. Like the option of it holding 2 different sizes of umbrellas. Just returned from 10 days of boating along sandy beaches and it worked perfectly! One day was quite breezy and it held our umbrella without any problem. Remember to wash out the sand that tends to collect in the tube before storing back in the bag.

I shopped around and bought this beach umbrella stand at a great price. I originally ordered another one at twice the price before finding this one. It also came in literally in 3 days verses 10 days by the other shipper. I’m very happy as my last stand rusted out after using it for years.

I bought my beach Cabana and had no problems and bought this device to make it go into the sand and stabalize the base . Worst mistake I made . The point of the Umbrella is now stuck and won't come out of this device . Had to leave the beach with device outside the bag .And finally was able remove part of umbrella base . End of base stuck in device Very disappointed ☹️ in this product . My advice . Do not use this device . It will ruin your Cabana 😔😔 .

After years of fighting with the plastic thread in type holder on the Atlantic coast, I thought I would try this.It was much better; threaded in fairly easily and held like a rock. Only thing to watch is that when it threads in, the sand fills the id of the tube. This wasn't an issue with my umbrella but it may be on some.Highly recommend this product!

I was concerned that this was metal so made sure I kept it clean and the screw lubed with WD40 but it still rusted.BADLY! The screw is so bad to the point I can't move it anymore so it's unusable. It's a shame because it was great while it was working :-(

I left off one star because a slightly longer screw would allow the anchor to accommodate a smaller diameter umbrella pole. As the description indicates this anchor will not secure an umbrella pole that is smaller than 0.98 inch in diameter but I don't see why they can't just use a longer screw. Other than that the metal construction appears to be sturdy suggesting that it will last.

This is the best beach umbrella post that we ever purchased. The steel frame construction and welding makes it more tolerable when setting it up. I keep a spare knowing that it will come through for us.

Works great! Easy to get into the ground - just make sure you have the platform part slightly below the ground level. I didn't the first time I used this and our umbrella fell over in a gust of wind.

I just recently purchased this sand screw and took it to the beach. It was really easy to dig into the sand with the metal screw, and it fit my umbrella perfectly. Really happy with this purchase.

Great Auger ,,stayed securely in the sand, held umbrella nicely. When you are finished, the sand easily comes off, ready for storage. Came with a black bag to put it in, so it will not get dirt on other belongings. Highly recommend!

Very simple to use. I purchased this for a Florida beach vacation. The only issues we had with it was first big gust of wind from ocean ripped our umbrella out of it and the screw that tightens the umbrella down had like a rubber piece that was lost in that debacle. We had to makeshift a water bottle lid into it so that we were able to tighten the screw down onto umbrella rod tight enough to keep it from blowing away again.
