I was planning a cross-country bike ride and needed a bag that I could attach to my bike and take with me when needed. More importantly, I was looking for a bag that would keep my gear dry. Happy to report this bag was top notch. Pros: It's waterproof and the ability to seal gear with a one-way vent was a very solid plus. The molle strap on the map flap is very handy for attaching random loose items. The adjustable straps are perfect. Cons: Because the bag is made of waterproof material, carrying it on your back will make you sweat like a pig. The water bottle attachment cords (shown as bungee cords) differ from those shown for the product, mine came with nylon cords that attach to the water bottle compartments at the base of the holders. This causes the extra straps to rattle if not fully fastened. The shoulder straps don't lend themselves well to attaching to a backing plate, so I had to improvise with my own bungee mesh. Given the price of this bag and its intended use, I mistook it for an included accessory. The material seems durable but I have a feeling it will crack with prolonged exposure to the sun - we'll have to see how it holds up in use. Several people have complained that the clips are not as strong as I would like and I have the same feeling after a week of use. None broke this time, but they don't look very heavy at all. General Thoughts: If I was looking for an adventure bag that I would take with me on the swim and the occasional country run, this bag would shine. If I were to get on my bike and get lost in the woods for a month (at this price) I might want to have a spare bag in case the clips inevitably fail.
