I had a camera system that I was replacing. The previous installer used Cat 5E cable but used it for the analog camera system and cut the wires to length to get to the wall power box which was about 3ft from the recorder. So when I replaced the camera system with a modern IP camera system, I had a few cables that were too short to get to the new NVR. I suggest two options: use some keystone, terminate it and use a patch cord, install a patch panel and then patch cords, or just use some connectors. After reading a few reviews and thinking it was a good price I ordered and couldn't be happier. They appear to be very durable and work with no issues. POE powering of the cameras is excellent and doesn't degrade the signal at all. You're worth it.
