Initially I went cheaper and bought swim shirts for my three boys which were cheaper. I immediately sent them back because they were so flimsy and just plain bad quality. These cost about $10 more so I was hesitant to buy them (I needed three so that adds up) but the quality is MUCH better. I think they're going to work for each of my boys for two years and then we can pass on the shirts that the two older ones have. They are slightly thicker than those of the competition, sit tighter around the neck and I like the longer fitted short sleeves for a sun shirt. The difference between this and another popular brand is quite noticeable. Definitely worth paying the $10 more and probably getting more years out of the t-shirts.
