great for what you are

everything is fine with the product. they arrived exactly as expected. I ordered this kit before doing a lot of research, which didn't hurt me too much, but here are some things about ear strain that I wish I knew before I bought them: β€’ Cones aren't the safest way to wear your ears to stretch. After doing my research, I found that tapers are the number one cause of blowouts. Nobody wants a breakthrough. β€’ Metrics don't work the way you think they do. **More on this at the endβ€’ If your work requires plugs instead of tunnels, you will need to purchase an extra pair of plugs (preferably glass) for each size when stretching. (I personally forgot about that. I'll wait until I hit 8g to use forks because anything smaller is hard to spot as visible holes.) Here are a few tips I have after I've started using them: β€’ Even if you have old holes, wear regular earplugs for a few days before the first stretch. (My stretch from 14g has shrunk to over 12g or 10g as I haven't worn earrings in months. Even though my holes are 6 years old they are still used to being empty.) β€’ They will O - Lose rings. many o-rings. β€’ You must clean your ears at least once a day. an added step to your morning routine that takes around 3-10 minutes depending on how stubborn the o-rings are. β€’ There is no set time between stretches. everyone. Person. is. Another. Some people stretch every week, others every two months. Listen to your body, if it hurts more than a tiny pinch, you're not ready. β€’ search for a recording method. One way to safely stretch your ears is to wrap a small amount of tape around the plug/tunnel every few days to slowly stretch your holes, rather than forcibly tapering and risking blowouts. You can use this method with the tunnels in this set, it's very important that a certain type of tape is only about $6 here on amazon.tl;dr, it's a great place to start but do your own research, you will most likely end up spending more money on more cones/plugs/bands than you plan to do anyway. I now have 10g and have already bought tape and 8g and 6g glass stoppers that I want to seal (because my job doesn't allow tunnels). I'll probably only end up using 50% of this set. that, for $20, I don't mind. The stretch balm is comfortable and of good quality as far as I know. I will update it with photos once I reach my target size (2g) ** the relation to mm is as follows: - 14g = 1.6mm (0.4mm jump) - 12g = 2mm - (0.5 mm jump) - 10 g = 2.5 mm (0.5 mm jump) - 8 g = 3 mm (1 mm jump) - 6 g = 4 mm (1 mm jump) - 4 g = 5 mm (jump 1mm) - 2g = 6mm (jump 2mm) - 0g = 8mm (jump 2mm) - 00g = 10mm, some stretches are 0.5mm and some are 2mm. Anything larger than 1mm is most likely unsafe. You can buy sets of large bounce cones (2g to 0g and 0g to 00g) at online body jewelry stores, but each one costs about the same as the entire set.
