Sounds great but key feature is missing

I've had my eye on the Anker Soundcore Mini for a long time, but I already had a similar blue tooth speaker I bought off eBay about $10 ago that still worked. When mine finally died I came back to find that the Soundcore Mini had gone through two more iterations and is now on the Mini 3. And the sound quality reviews, especially the base, were all great, so I pulled the trigger. I received the device I immediately connected it to my phone and was amazed by the quality. But when I removed the micro SD card from the old speaker and tried to insert it into the new Soundcore Mini 3, I found that Anker removed this feature from the speaker. I assumed they made improvements or added features, but I didn't think they were going to remove anything, so I didn't think to check it out. and when I'm sitting by the fire by myself, it's nice to be able to pull this thing out and enjoy music straight from the SD card without draining my phone's battery. While the Soundcore Mini 3 seemed like a dream, it was useless to me without an SD card slot. I sent the Mini 3 back and got the original Mini. Sounds good, but not nearly as great as the mini 3. so i didn't think to check. and when I'm sitting by the fire by myself, it's nice to be able to pull this thing out and enjoy music straight from the SD card without draining my phone's battery. Cons
  • Big and bulky
