Peak Design has some of the best cameras you will find anywhere. The Sony RX100M7 and this product work well for this purpose - except the loop goes through the small strap mounts on the camera. The quick release connection makes it easy to attach or detach the camera from the strap and when not in use the hand strap features a magnet inside the strap to allow the flapping part of the strap to be hidden so it can be carried. like a bracelet. The hand strap is adjustable, grips firmly and uses the weight of the camera to keep the strap snug. from my wrist I felt the grip was too tight. I wouldn't carry heavier cameras and dangle them with this strap, at least not for any length of time (unless you prefer to hold the camera in your hand, which is a harness). But for a small camera and a lightweight camera like the RX100 (or similar) it's perfect.
