I never thought I would be so excited about a round puppy mat that I would write a rave review, but here it is. The first few weeks before learning the litter box and bowel/bladder control can be messy and with previous litters I've either washed a lot (towels) or used a million disposable potty liners. Using this guy as a bottom pen liner I was able to spot a lot of mess and if it's too uncomfortable to just remove the stain I can toss it in the washing machine and it comes out great clean. It's also soft, which makes me happy because these little ones no longer have a soft and warm mother, they don't have to sit on plastic potties to load. and things like filler/granules/water are in there, I don't see much accumulation of "wet soft clay garbage paste" in the zipper/channel at the bottom of the zipper handle. That alone would be enough to buy this because seriously, ugh. I bought a pillow the same diameter (or next size up) as my 8-sided zippered playpen, and there is a portion of the pillow that folds down on the sides (round pillow, straight-edged playpen), but it's not a ton and tends not to rise and doesn't bother. in summary. You won't regret this purchase if you: A. are someone who doesn't hate things that are convenient and reusable B. are looking for something that's easy to clean (set or wash) C. are happy to own quality stuff that rough Making things a little less ugly. For the price the quality is fantastic and I will definitely be buying more, mainly for the convenience of having another one to put down while the first one gets washed.
