Like many users, I have been using printers for at least two decades. I have also been teaching computer science since the same time. I figured buying an HP printer would be the best way to connect to an HP laptop. Oh, it isn't. The core of your experience with ANY HP printer is that with ANY problem you're forced to use online interfaces (like their ridiculous website) to try and get help. Finally, after a few days of frustration, I gave up. Well, the FIRST time: setup on a Windows laptop was absolutely seamless: the downloadable HP app finds your network and you're in! Print from any device on the network and scan with ease. Then SECOND time: Forget it, the HP computer cannot recognize the HP device. Therefore, it is not possible to clean the printheads, etc. I've tried all methods of reconnecting, including using a USB cable. Bad luck. The documentation is terrible: the app includes animations at each step showing how the setup step task is actually completed. However, many of the on-screen buttons do not work; they do not do anything! One of the many quirks is printing and canceling the iPad to see how it handles it. All the lights on the printer started blinking in a strange order at the same time. You may think the printer is broken. had to be turned off and on again. From that moment everything was back to normal (fu). I read good advice from another reviewer: find a printer with a good set of screens and buttons right on the device. This will avoid using your computer to access it via USB cable or WiFi. Many of the printers you've seen have users having Wi-Fi issues and being forced to use a cable. This has happened to the last 3 printers I've had, having managed to connect to Wi-Fi first (and haven't had any issues with Wi-Fi in years). Eventually I went to the local college. Set up campus and for free - what does that tell you?
