Review on 1 TB USB 3.0 Portable External πŸ’Ύ Hard Drive by LaCie Porsche Design P'9220 (302000) by Brian Shakey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This drive does not perform as expected for a nearly $200 product. 4 stars.

I'm a bit disappointed with this 5TB LaCie hard drive. This hibernation lingers too long upon activation, and since the drive is NTSF, my other LaCie 3TB collides with it, preventing me from transferring files from the 3TB drive directly to the 5TB drive. Windows 8.1 only sees software for one or the other, no matter what port they're plugged into. It's quite annoying to have to move files to another drive when one or the other LaCie is disabled, and then disconnect the other parts and load files onto a 5TB drive from another spare drive I have , but it's not a LaCie. I like the reliability of the 3TB drives I have after downloading all the files so I bought 5TB to expand my storage as I store a lot of concert photos on it. But I can't get my computer to accept both drives. That's pretty strange. You might think that two drives from the same manufacturer are compatible with each other. Only 4 stars for this product.
