It's pretty good although it's just a hard back, not solid all round. So the middle compartment will sag a bit if you have a lot of small items. I have a bunch of computer cables and this makes it awkward to close as the front has sag all over it making it difficult to line up the velcro. In hindsight I should have photographed it openly so you can see the sag I'm talking about. However, this is easy to fix. I measured the hole (16 x 4.5 x 8.5 inches), made a box and stuck it in. Now it's completely rigid, doesn't sag, and is much easier to close and open. If they made this bag entirely out of hard plastic, that would be perfect. The side pockets are fine as they connect evenly to the headrest and won't balance without support. See photos. One more note, I'm using it in a 2018 Subaru Impreza hatchback. will interfere with grabbing items from pockets, but that's not really a problem.
