Matte for Men is a very high quality product that feels light, absorbs quickly and has a wonderful citrus scent. My issue with the product is that it just doesn't support the dull look of oily skin. Within 10 minutes of application, my forehead and nose look exactly the opposite of the promised matte effect. I thought it was a fluke so I tried again after using the amazing Ursa Major Facial Wash and got the same results which I was able to repeat for 3 days. Judging by other reviews, it clearly helps some, but unfortunately it's completely incompatible with my oily skin. The problem is that there aren't many alternative oily skin solutions on the market. We ended up with Anthony's Instant Fix Oil Control, which is good but not perfect after phasing out competitors from Jack Black (All Day Oil Control) and Kiehl's (Oil Eliminator range). Kyoku and Recipe for Men products have performed very poorly.
