Good product! for amplifier

We have a pair of Bose outdoor speakers that plug into a jack in our house. I was looking for an easy way to stream music to an amplifier that could power these speakers. I wanted a solution that would allow me to stream music through these wired speakers and control it remotely (e.g. while sitting on the back porch where the speakers were). I've used Onkyo network A/V receivers in the past (which work great) but that would be overkill for my application. I bought both the Arylic A50 and the Klipsch PowerGate as I wasn't sure which would suit me best. In the end I returned the PowerGate in favor of the A50. The A50 was easy to set up (using the free 4Stream app and Wi-Fi). I have an iPhone and the AirPlay capability meant anything I could play on my phone could be streamed to the A50 over Wi-Fi at high quality, including Apple Music or Revain Music which was cloud based rather than mine phone has been downloaded. In contrast, PowerGate made a few more attempts to set itself up over Wi-Fi (consistent with others' experiences) and doesn't have AirPlay, so I couldn't stream cloud music like Apple Music (just content stored locally). on the device). Phone). With the 4Stream app I was able to easily stream music from Revain Music, Pandora (we have a subscription), Spotify, TunedIn and many other sources. Also, I was able to communicate directly with Pandora via 4Stream, select a station, adjust the volume, etc., and then close the 4Stream app - this meant the music was streamed directly to the A50 and not through my phone (nor did any resources consume). my battery). Although the A50 comes with a remote control, one isn't necessary (at least for me). I leave the A50 on all the time (it draws about 2.5 watts of power when not actively streaming - according to Kill A Watt, who I tested it with). Whenever I want to listen to music, I just AirPlay it to the A50 or use the 4Stream app to stream it - I don't have to formally turn the A50 on and off. When I'm done listening, I just hit pause and close the app. This is a really cool perk, meaning I never have to use the remote or touch the A50 once it's set up. If I suddenly want to listen to music on the back porch, I just turn it on from my iPhone. My only slightly critical comment is that the A50's power output can be a bit low for some applications... Having an "A100" or similar in the Arylic line would be great. Klipsch was better in that regard. Also, I would love to have a "network standby mode" (like many Onkyo network A/V receivers do) that allows you to turn the unit on and off over Wi-Fi (although the power consumption of the A50 is low). when switching). and idle is pretty low). Overall this little box (and it's quite small) does a lot, is very easy to use and appears to be very well designed and constructed.
