This suit was a little big and baggy but the elastic is tight and the outer shell is THICK. Nothing goes through this thing unless your little one tears it up or turns it inside out...even then, only the lining will get wet and the baby underneath will be dry and nice. We send our 2 year old to a Montessori prep class where he spends 2 hours a day outside in the rain, sun or snow (only when the weather is rough do they climb in) so we need something that will last and that fits definitive. important for you, downsize or prepare for multiple returns. Kids, that rage is notoriously hard to measure, and this thing is devouring my skinny baby. However, the elastic is so tight that she can wear it and feel a bit bloated for fear of tripping over the cuffs...so we should use it for a few years! Bonus!
