The width and length are much better than the previous version.

I make miniature quilts and need to trim the seams to 1/8 inch. After using the narrow 6" version of this ruler, my Kevlar glove sheared...if that was my finger. Oops...this ruler is wider and at 9 inches I can cut most blocks without having to move the cutting ruler.

Perfect ruler for cutting 1/8” seam width when working with narrow strips. Extra length is bonus.
