I was surprised when this book arrived. I didn't read the description very well so I was surprised that it was a much smaller cardboard book. I bought this book for my granddaughter when she was six months old. Her mother/daughter is a musician (drummer and guitarist) and played throughout her pregnancy. Of course, that hit our sweet girl, because she's particularly into things that have rhythm. Because of this, this book is her absolute FAVORITE, as are the funny monkeys. My 1 year old nephew loves rhythm, rhymes and knowledge of body parts so I decided to give him the book Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb (a book I loved as a kid) . I read the reviews here and noticed that the manual version is truncated and some pages are missing. This is very bad for me as I love Jake and Jack, but for a kid who is new to the story?
