Description of Dunlop SP Winter Ice 03 195/65 R15 95T

Winter tires Dunlop SP Winter Ice 03Dunlop SP Winter Ice 03 tires are equipped with steel studs and are designed for use in winter. This tire model is designed for passenger cars that are operated on highways and city roads. Rubber is suitable for use in the conditions of the Russian winter. It shows maximum efficiency on snowy and icy roads. The manufacturer produces tires with diameters from R14 to R20, which allows you to choose tires for any car model. FeaturesDirectional tread design The SP Winter Ice 03 uses a directional tread design. The elements of such a protector are arranged symmetrically. To improve traction, the number of grooves, sipes and blocks has been increased. V-shaped transverse edges The rubber tread contains both large and small blocks, which form long V-shaped transverse edges during movement. This feature ensures that the vehicle decelerates quickly when braking on snow. The V-shaped design ensures the vehicle''s directional stability. Advanced Rubber CompoundDunlop SP Winter Ice 03 uses a special rubber compound to produce it. It contains components that improve the physical properties of rubber. Tires remain elastic in frost and thaw. BenefitsHigh traction forces due to V-grooves. These tread elements are arranged in such a way that they intersect each other and form many edges. 3D wave-shaped sipes to enhance the traction of SP Winter Ice 03 rubber. A wide range of working temperatures of the rubber compound, which makes tires versatile. You can use these tires in frost and thaw.

Bought in exchange sava. Excellent tires, a lot of studs, the stud is not ordinary. In the snow, at least porridge of axle boxes, the sava skidded. The lower the temperature, the better it behaves. At a speed of 140-160, it goes confidently, and over porridge and snow dividers. At 110-120, the flow rate is not like summer. Happy with the rubber.

Pros
  • Controllability. Noise is minimal after running. Rowing on snow, ice is excellent.
Cons
  • Slightly rolled at a temperature of about 0.

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

I think the brand is underrated. Although many automakers put these tires from the factory. But due to this - their prices are 20-30% lower than the closest competitors! I will observe and add. I hope this model will be no less durable than winter ice 02.

Pros
  • I bought these tires to replace the worn out winter ice 02. The last ones have passed 4 seasons. The winter ice 03 model is softer. Protector is more interesting. Tires are less noisy. The first ice showed that this model is no worse than its competitors - it slows down perfectly (I went to Hakka, Yokohama, Hankuk). Doesn't run on the track. Holds course in turns (strong sidewall). Loose snow is falling. Rolled snow catches. The shape of the spike is not normal. V-shaped spike with a circle for the removal of ice crystals.
Cons
  • While running tires. I try not to grind or drive. No deficiencies found.

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

I’m a newbie at the wheel and I’ll say for the first winter that I really like the tires! I thought it would be hard to drive around the city and on the highway in winter, but there are no problems.

Pros
  • It holds the road well, it’s hard to dig in the snow, it slows down very well on ice, an interesting tread pattern.
Cons
  • In principle, I have not yet found them. I like everything.

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

Medium hardness. As I was looking for. Average between nodman and bridgestone. Sidewall ok. The protector seemed stiff. The shape of the spike in the form of an arrow, I don’t know how it will show itself.

Pros
  • Who writes noisy? Are you on a cart or something. Ten without soundproofing. Temperature plus 10. When I changed my shoes. The noise from the summer well is 20 percent more. There are moments of cutting at a certain speed of 30. At first, I drove carefully. Drove 50 km in one day. In the evening, I forgot that there was noise in the winter because there was little.
Cons
  • Not yet.

In my opinion, the best value for money. No worse than competitors in this segment, and the price is much more interesting. For 3 months of operation in our "European" winter of 2022-2022 at temperatures from 0 to +10, not a single spike flew out.

Pros
  • Great winter tires! I have been operating since the fall of 2022, for all the time only positive impressions. The tire was not noisy at all, despite the rather large number of spikes. Excellent road holding both on ice and in positive weather in the rain. On the ring does not catch the track from the word at all! Unfortunately, it was not possible to check in the snow yet due to weather anomalies this year :)
Cons
  • Tires are slightly stiffer than summer tires

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

I definitely recommend SP Winter Ice 03. My first studded tire (10 years experience). On snow, on ice, on dry and wet pavement - it brakes perfectly, without any slips and skids. I chose tires according to reviews and Dunlop's personal use, I never regretted my choice. I recommend.

Pros
  • Long decided on the choice of winter tires. Prior to Dunlop, the SP Winter Ice 03 went Velcro. I thought what to choose, spikes or Velcro? I read a lot of reviews (different regions of 2022), as a result I decided to try studded tires. Why did you stop at Dunlop, but because the cost is acceptable in relation to competitors and the quality is excellent as a result👍 (for example, for the summer I also have Dunlop, no hernias, nothing, excellent tires. My father had a bear, so he is generally like eraser, worn out in 2 seasons, and the price for it is space). In general, I rate the rubber as a solid 5✔: It rows and brakes perfectly in the snow; On ice, I would put 10 out of 5, when compared with Velcro, the car drives just like a tank, it doesn’t throw it out of the ice rut, the car gets out of it freely, you just turn the steering wheel)) Well, on asphalt and there is no unequivocal 5, the only thing is that because of the spikes it is noisier than Velcro. In short, the tires are excellent, there are no alternatives for the money, price-quality. I hope my review will help someone with a choice. Good luck to everyone, take this rubber and you will not regret it, I recommend it.
Cons
  • There are no disadvantages. The only thing is that rubber is noisier than Velcro, but I will not return to Velcro again, safety is above all!

I put myself this year on the Nissan Teana. On asphalt, they are very comfortable in terms of noise, rowing in the snow, keeping the road on ice. Of course, without fanaticism. I recommend paying attention. Before that, there was an experience of using Dunlop summer tires - also a great option.

Pros
  • Comfortable, soft. Excellent combination of price and quality.
Cons
  • Everything is fine

It's not a bad product, nothing extraordinary.

I took the standard size 215/60/16 for the Passat b8, the first rubber was also from Dunlop, the Ice Touch model. This one is worse at first glance. More slippage in the snow, further stopping distance. It behaves much worse in corners, it’s better not to risk it at any high speed in corners, you turn the steering wheel, the car goes straight

Pros
  • Good grip on ice Doesn't float on snow Relatively quiet
Cons
  • Weak cornering control

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

It feels like after a summer tire, the steering wheel turns much easier in a turn! Of course, the spikes will run in and it will be fine, but so far there is no snow and I drive more carefully than in the summer at +2 degrees. I'm waiting for snow

Pros
  • The price is not raised, the model is fresh, not China.
Cons
  • Slippery on studded asphalt. And the sidewall seems a bit soft, although it is indicated that it is reinforced.

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

I tested the new Dunlop SP Winter Ice 03, drove to the dacha on soil (cm 20+ - the car crushed the snow with its belly). The car is an ordinary penger car, not a crossover even once. There is a difficult hill not far from the house - I climbed the soap (ice below and snow porridge on top) without any problems. The hill is gorgeous - 100-150 meters uphill with a broken road and at the end the steepness increases. If you take it from acceleration - you leave the entire suspension, and the wheel…

Pros
  • There is little noise, it brakes well on ice, it rides well in the snow
Cons
  • Not yet

Perfect product for any user!

I bought a Dunlop ICE03 and I was very pleased with the tires, they hold the road very well, there is no lateral drift for braking, it’s also excellent, I drive both the highway and the city, the driving style is aggressive, but the tires have never let me down, rating five out of five!

Pros
  • Price, quality, grip on all surfaces
Cons
  • A bit noisy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for money, one of the best offers.

In my perspective, it offers the most bang for the buck. Not significantly poorer than other companies operating in this market, and the price is far more appealing. During the "European" winter of 2022-2022, when operating temperatures ranged from 0 to +10 degrees Celsius, not a single spike became dislodged during this time.

Pros
  • Fantastic tires for the winter! Since the fall of 2022, I have been in operation, and during this entire period, I have only had favorable impressions. Despite the rather high number of spikes, the tire did not make any kind of noise at all. Excellent traction on the road both when it is icy and when the weather is favorable, even when it is raining. On the ring does not pick up the track at all from the word! Due to the unusual weather patterns this year, it was not able to check in the snow quite yet.
Cons
  • The tires are slightly more rigid than those used in the summer.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Rubber soft (as long as there were frosts down to -22), the road keeps excellent! I had to slow down on ice so as not to "catch up" with the car in front. They showed themselves with a bang. They row wonderfully in snow and porridge! Of the complaints, only noise, but this is rather a feature of all studded wheels, and not a drawback

Pros
  • Good handling

Skated one season, all the spikes are in place. Run in 1000 km no more than 60 km / h. The noise is moderate, it’s good that I didn’t listen to the reviews here that the tires are noisy. The previous Continental had the same noise level. With normal Shumkov, the usual sound of winter studded tires. Photo after one season of operation.

Pros
  • Rows well in the snow Good handling Not a single spike lost during the season Normal noise level for a pop
Cons
  • Did not reveal

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

We ride about in the newly acquired Toyota Corolla for the office for around one month. I really loved the efficient tire tread, the rubber is soft and it does not make any noise at all. At first, there was noise, but then presumably the rubber with spikes rolled in, and after that, there was no hum-howling heard. Reasonable winter tires featuring a new form and an increased number of spikes. They stop effectively, even on ice, and they don't walk in the ruts that have been created by the…

Pros
  • tread pattern that is both efficient and aggressive
Cons
  • Not detected

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

Bought bearing in mind driving conditions during the winter months. On rolling snow as well as on porridge, it can confidently retain its route when traveling at high speeds. As expected, this happens when the temperature is somewhat near zero and has a little plus sign after it. Doesn't like ruts. The first two hundred kilometers sounded just like a TU95 about to take off. After traveling 500 kilometers, there was a discernible drop in volume. Despite the fact that I have an aggressive driving

Pros
  • Rows, holds on, and rides.
Cons
  • Haven't revealed yet

What you need, a cool purchase, I advise you.

In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, I bought it in the parameters 225/45/17 for Skoda Octavia. What follows is purely my reasoning and observations, which may have nothing to do with reality. After the purchase, I ran the tires for 1500 km in the mode: up to 60 km / h and a very smooth start and with the same smooth braking. After already began to slowly increase the pace of driving. Initially, the rubber was harsh, but after running it became softer. I traveled actively, but with my…

Pros
  • Good grip on ice Rows well in the snow
Cons
  • Feels bad on bare cold asphalt (but this is subjective, because these are spikes and you should not expect a hold on asphalt from them) After 6k km in front, the spikes are already starting to ask to get out (there are tears in the tire). But again, this is subjective, with active driving this was most likely to be expected.
