As a slim, short man, I often opted for shorts with a wide leg and below the knee. Luckily the slim fit revolution continues and I'm a fan of the Starter Mesh Shorts men's slim fit shorts. Short prices to be affordable. The cut is thin but not too tight. Shorts just above the knee. I bought a small size in white and attached photos of the sizes. For reference, I'm 5ft 6in and 138lbs. After reading other reviews I wanted to give my opinion on the opacity of the fabric. There are two very thin layers in total and one layer in the pockets. I find the lighter fabric is a fair compromise for comfort and breathability. There is a shadow visible under the pants, but I don't think that's a cause for concern. In perfect lighting and at the perfect angle, the shorts can be a bit see-through, but nothing that can't be corrected with dark-colored underwear. As an example, I included photos on a sunny day. I am happy with my purchase and look forward to purchasing more colors.
