Review on Petzl K52 CORDEX Lightweight Medium by Chris Horton

I bought these after my pretty decent $30 gloves fell apart working with cinder blocks and bricks the other day. I needed gloves that were strong enough for truck and outdoor work and still offered decent dexterity. I'm not a climber, not a high-altitude fanatic and I live in Georgia, so no advice for you climbers, ladies and gentlemen. I have to say that for my purposes they couldn't be better for the price. The fit and finish is top-notch, with the exception of the index finger on the left glove. The seam line seems to have come loose during production and there is a slight crease between the two ankles. It's not that bad and hopefully won't get stuck on things because it's laying down pretty well. Also, I turned this finger inside out to ensure the seam would and should hold. The wrinkle can be associated with a skin defect; However, this glove was made using a process that still achieved a strong seam. 5 stars BC after getting wet and broken (working with wet gloves, putting them on in front of a heater until almost dry) they fit "like gloves!" Not too tight but tight enough to fit the little 10- mm bolts on my truck with no fuss. Update: The defective seam drove me insane. I have contacted Petzl and will see if they replace it. Still 5 stars because they are great. I would recommend trying them on at a store and buying the set with the best stitching. Update: Petzl contacted me and offered to send me a shipping label and inspect gloves for repair or replacement. Rather than part with the gloves for who knows how long I decided to hang up some nylon thread and hand sew the valve on and now they really are perfect. 4 stars for the extra work, but actually only took 30 minutes to fix because I'm pretty decent with the needle.
