Minimal vibration with low noise level - a complete lie. unfortunately i have to be honest i bought 4 of these, for the price i was expecting a rejection but after a few months of use i was wrong. 1) I had 2 straight away that were so loud and I'm glad I tested them in a tank that had no life yet and the one that popped out of my GFI 3 times until I shorted it and could shock me if i didn't have 20a gfi for all my outlets. 2) The lids fall off after about 48 hours of use 3) The company's best choice isn't bad at all but you have to call them, in fact they sent me new ones and refunded half of my order and now I have 3 out of 6 half working with a simple modification. Since I fixed it if you remove the cover or it falls off you will see a soft clear plastic cover on the shaft then you will see the front of the black plastic is uneven this will rub the cover causing the motor to fail overloaded. The heat burns out and makes a lot of noise, I took a razor blade and smoothed the plastic so it no longer runs or sticks, I saved some head energy that didn't burn out. Although this only solves half the problem, I wanted to use them on my Wavermaker, but for some reason it can turn on after 15 seconds and start working immediately, it sounds like a broken mixer. So my final result is after 1 month test time. I kept them for my live rock aquarium, whether fish or coral, do not use them with fish or coral aquariums unless you want to cause stress and death. See, they're great for a saltwater mixing tank to get your water moving at a dirty price. Also, I have a couple of HYDOR KORALIA 750's which are rated for 750 gallons per hour and will move more water than these larger 1300 gallons per hour with no name and use twice as many volts but I blame the shape/size of the impeller for that . So in the end, don't waste your money on an aquarium, it's not a good idea. But the company was great, I would highly recommend dealing with BestChoice products. They are about as good as Amazons or even better.
