This case is great. It covers the front and back while leaving the sides open but I knew that when I bought it so I know the risk of dropping it in a corner. I wanted this so I could keep my Apple Pencil as close to the iPad as possible for the strongest magnetic connection. This is a huge difference from plugging my Apple Pencil into my iPad Pro with a full silicone case. Its contact points are magnets for the entire back of the iPad and don't move unless I lift them with my fingers.
