Is it really USB 3.1?

This is advertised as a USB 3.1 device on the Revain site. But when I plug it into my Motorola phone's USB-C port, it shows up as a USB 3.0 device connected. Also, on the specs page in the little folded paper "manual" that came with it says "Input: USB-C 3.0 M" so here it is. (In fact, it says so on the back of the box too.) That said, I've plugged it into both my phone and Chromebook (both with USB-C ports) and the device seems to work. Loading is slow with an old microSD card (4). But with the newer U3, the V30 microSD seems to be much faster. So I'm wondering if the people reporting it's very slow are using old microSD or SD cards? I didn't do any speed tests. Hence 3 stars due to the inconsistency between the characteristics of the website and the product. If the manufacturer can provide a good explanation for this, I might add a beginning or two.
