Great maintenance tool

I installed this on a lawn tractor that didn't come with a factory hour meter and it works great. It somehow manages to always display the current readings (starting at zero from the manufacturer and counting down in 1/10 hour increments) even when the device isn't on. Maybe a capacitor? In any case, this allows me to check the current readings without having to turn the mower key if I want to see where I stand on maintenance.
