Good hour meter, wide voltage range

A little difficult to read if the light isn't quite right. The contrast could have been better. I would give it 5 stars for ease of installation if it were a little smaller and could fit a standard 22mm hole. If that were the case, it would fit in a traditional 22mm control box. It would make it a lot better.

Amazing Little Meter

It works from 6 volts to high voltage but I wanted to do something totally safe to control the outlet. I took a phone charger (6V DC) and plugged it into an outlet. The safe end of the charger is connected to the hour meter. Made. I've been using it for several months to keep track of when the power was on. (Actually, the output was controlled by a thermostat.)

Great maintenance tool

I installed this on a lawn tractor that didn't come with a factory hour meter and it works great. It somehow manages to always display the current readings (starting at zero from the manufacturer and counting down in 1/10 hour increments) even when the device isn't on. Maybe a capacitor? In any case, this allows me to check the current readings without having to turn the mower key if I want to see where I stand on maintenance.

Terrible product good for hour meter

Hooked this up to my Kubota tractor as my dash died on me. It works well. But as I feared... the timer is running forever. So I wasted several hours of "time" after parking in the garage overnight because the damn thing is still connected to the battery. I had to cut the cable to stop him. I don't see any other reviews on this topic, don't know why to be honest. Doesn't work for my application as I need to know the tractor run time, not the time since I connected it to the battery.

Works great with spares

I bought this hour meter for my Generac alternator. The alternator is about 8 years old and I don't think the original hour meter ever worked. The guarantee has expired. So I bought this device. Just a little more in width so I had to widen the hole with a file. The generator has been running for about 70 hours, mostly lately. So I set up an hour meter by plugging it into my laptop charger for a few days. It is nice that this device works with AC or DC power from 5 to 240 volts. Easy to read…
