Very very simple design

A little on the verge of 3 or 4 stars. This is at the current price of $16. I'll let you decide: it's mostly felt. Not that, a special felt. Just a very simple felt. The felt is glued in places and the edges are either glued or melted because they feel rough and hard, which is very uncomfortable, especially with a children's bag. God, that was a long sentence. Excuse me. Grips are made from the same felt with the same inexplicably hard edges, except vinyl grips have been added where the hands reach. It's a light felt, so the grips feel oddly elusive, but probably strong enough. Inside there are two removable inserts, fastened with strong Velcro, dividing the space into three compartments. Both ends have zipped pockets with elasticated holders for small items like pacifiers. The construction here is embarrassingly simple, as you can see from my photo. The zipper ends are intimidating at first, and there's no lining (unless you mistake more felt for the lining). I think I'll convince myself of a 3 star rating. There are three patch pockets on the front and back that look great and work well. Probably the most respectable part of this bag. There's a foldable changing pad, also made of felt but lined with easy-wipe vinyl on one side. There really is no place to conveniently store this foldable rug. I put mine UNDER the removable dividers at the bottom of the bag - it takes up the entire length of the bag - but of course that's not practical if you need to use it on the go as the entire contents of the bag have to be removed to access it. Pooh. And no, it cannot be folded enough to fit in the side zip pocket or any of the other pockets. Oh. There is also no shoulder strap for the bag, so you need a 100% free hand to carry it. This is probably not the product I would buy. I like the grey-turquoise color scheme.
