I ordered this product to replace the torn Velcro straps on my horse's bell boots (for non-horse people, a sturdy "boot" that goes around the shin just above the hoof, to protect the hoof area from injury when striking with the other leg). I used an awl to attach the velcro to the boot as boots are very difficult to sew. The velcro itself isn't difficult to pierce, but the boot is very consistent. After weeks of almost daily driving, the velcro straps seem to be holding up well and showing no signs of damage. The Velcro holds very well, but is easy to pull off when taking off the boot. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. You get a lot of material for the price and it seems to hold up well to very heavy use. I wouldn't expect others to abuse him like that. Of course, replacing velcro straps is much more profitable than buying new safety boots just because of a ripped velcro strap. Boots are expensive, this velcro is not!
