Great idea paired with an unreliable remote

I've used several generations of Logitech Harmony remotes that use a PC app to set up and sync the USB cable. I still use them for our main family entertainment but need something simpler for our bedroom. I was fascinated by the app/bluetooth syncing with this remote and that part of it worked seamlessly. As soon as I started using it I realized how bad they are at buttons. I use it with TV, Roku (streaming device) and soundbar. For a remote that has the second device button labeled as a streaming device, the button layout will not reflect this. Most streaming remotes are pretty basic, basically with a navigation bar (D-Pad) that has OK/Select buttons in the middle and then Home and Back buttons in the corners around the D-Pad. Instead, this remote has volume and channel buttons around the D-Pad. The home and back buttons are at the top of a similarly sized keypad, and with a very dim backlight, you'll be trying to remember where the back button is so you can use it in the dark. I'd probably live with those shortcomings, but the remote has one fatal flaw. There have been times where I've pressed a key and then gotten into a stuck/continuous key press that usually required removing the batteries to reset it. I tried two remotes and both had the same problem. I chose the GE Backlit 48844 universal remote control because I knew it was also made by Jasco and that their code library extends to almost every remote control device made in the last 25 years. It wins in every way! The home, back, and star buttons are clustered around the D-pad, and the backlight easily reveals each button. I already have the code library on my phone, so it took about 30 seconds to set up my three devices. Basically, I would recommend the GE 48844 (or its unlit variant 33709) instead.
