Closer to 4.8/5: Comfort, lots of traction

I will update this review if any of the details below change over time. I just received them today. Let's see how they behave after washing as there are no instructions included! (Eek!) A little about me: - Occasional yogi (beginner/intermediate) with knee problems. Otherwise I could be more hardcore. Shoe Size: Women's 7 (in volume) Perspiration Level: Extreme. A casual stroll around town in 30 degrees makes my head, stomach and armpits drool, and possibly the soles of my feet too. So I desperately needed something like this to help me stick better to the mat. Pros: They will definitely help you stay! You can feel and hear it when you walk on the ground, not like velcro but like sticky traction. The fit is great! See cons for minor issues (if any - hence 4.8 stars) - the pattern aligns with the bottom of my legs. - Seams look good. It is thicker in places where the fabric is subject to greater stress and strain, protecting it from tearing. Almost seamless: There are no seams except for the openings, which are surrounded by protective seams. socks. No uncomfortable bumps during yoga! Cons: They stretch a bit between my big finger and index finger. Not enough to make them uncomfortable, but it's noticeable. I rarely wear flip flops so maybe my toes aren't used to the feeling. - The ankle also dangles a bit, but again not enough to remove the star. They hold up well but don't fit like the rest of the sock - not as nice as the picture. The ankle is a bit higher, which makes them a little less attractive, but then again: I don't think it's big enough to deduct a star, even in combination with the above. - scratches the carpet a little. I only noticed this the fourth time. When I transitioned from a low lunge to a downward dog, my legs were pulling more than before and the scrapes are still there. These aren't deep marks, but is my mat supposed to be self-healing? Something to consider. Again, if I cared enough about her looks, I would go for the prettier ballerina style, which I also saw on Revain. Only they had a reputation for falling apart after a while. So I went with them. Function over form!
