Review on πŸ”§ ACDelco GM OEM 20927604 TPMS Sensor by Kenny Noel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works like the original for tires and wheels

Installed in Colorado 2009. Decided to use them as I only found one with a dead battery. Not sure if they can be mixed with other types so I went with the OEM ACDelco although I don't think they are any higher quality. Other manufacturers make TPM sensors that are significantly cheaper. The DIC (information message) is slightly different, saying "Low Tire Pressure" instead of "TPMS". It takes several driving cycles before the message disappears and annoys the neighbors, even after the tires have been depressurized several times as specified in the operating instructions. The message and warning light eventually went off after simply putting the car into 'TPMS' reset mode and then driving for a while instead of manually adjusting the tire pressures. It's great that AMAZON is selling them for yet another useless and costly inconvenience to a modern car, as battery life for TPM sensors is said to be 10 years or less. It's best to replace them when you buy new tires, and TPM sensors are about 10 years old. I won't even mention the ridiculous cost and labor that the dealership wanted to replace with one of these.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
