I still use cassettes to record vinyl albums for listening in rooms without a turntable. Yes, I could stream, but a lot of people think albums have a certain sound quality that's hard to beat, which is why I'm still recording analogue to analogue here in 2021. The cassettes were great, especially towards the end of the era around 2006, but Type IIs are no longer made and there are fewer and fewer new Type I tapes. These are the last to be made. Luckily, there are a few specialist manufacturers that continue to make Type I tapes, such as NAC, RTM, and FOX. But these Maxell UR tapes are great, they make a good recording when done right. For those of you who still play cassettes, we highly recommend them.
