Good for the first time. For the price this item is pretty good. It looks beautiful when lit and, like any oil heater, makes your home smell delicious. The shadows it casts are beautiful and the overall shape is very elegant and will look good with both modern and traditional decor despite being labeled as a 'modern art style'. Next about the bad. The glass bowl is very close to the candle flame. The plate is also wide and flat. As a result, the water becomes very hot and evaporates quickly. When the level drops, the water is actually boiling. You need to watch this carefully to make sure it doesn't all evaporate leaving a burnt oil that can be wiped off the glassware. Finally ugly. The metal surface of this product is not perfect. The seams are visible if you look closely. It's a pretty piece to hang on a shelf or table across the room, but it's not made well enough to be used on a coffee table or the other middle of the room without looking cheap. Overall, it's good value for money and I'm happy with the purchase.
