After three months of use, with both ultrasonic and steam models in circulation, I found myself favoring the latter due to its lack of steam residue on cleaned objects, lack of unexpected shutdowns and failures, minimal number of moving parts, and high degree of dependability. Advantages that vary: Adds a lot of moisture to the air in a healthy way. Calm, smartphone-based management (though, to be fair, not much would have changed otherwise). The negatives: Frequent cleaning and lubrication are required, and additional information is available regarding the infrastructure and preventative steps that can be implemented.
