Review on 🚨 Pineeron Amber Emergency Beacon LED: A Powerful Magnetic Safety Flashing Strobe Lamp for Trucks, Cars, and Most Vehicles by Ryan Larson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not shiny but functional

This was sent to me by FD (Full Disclosure Department) as a product review/sample. The first thing you'll notice is the light weight, which is both good and bad. Good thing it won't dent your body, not so good that the magnets are light, so I doubt it will stay on your car if you're driving on a bumpy road (hard to avoid in the Chicago area). or at any speed, say 10/15 miles per hour. We didn't try it outside when testing as we didn't want to leave a trail of broken plastic. It was placed on the dashboard in the corner of the windshield. Most of the time she stayed where she was and did what was asked of her. The LEDs are bright but not blinding or blinding - which is fine inside a car - but they are visible in bright sunlight. The brightness level also depends on the flashing mode, the basic "all flashes at once" mode is brighter than the sequential mode - it's similar to a spinning light - although I've found the spinning light mode to be more noticeable. The choice is a definite plus. A brand new set of AA batteries lasted the entire test (about 4 hours) and continues to work. As a member of the local emergency management team, I think this is a useful item, while not a super bright flash, it is functional for most situations where such an item is needed. If you're thinking about just keeping a flashlight like this in your trunk, you can't go wrong with this item and it won't drain your car's battery. There is no cable to the "cigarette lighter". If the manufacturer used stronger magnets and brighter LEDs I would give 5 stars but it would also cost more. The price is not a bad investment.
