These might not be the best noise-cancelling headphones, but they represent excellent value for money. I first bought them for my daughter and my wife and I kept stealing them when she fell asleep on the plane. They're useful even when you can't hear anything - just to muffle the roar of an airplane on long flights. Then I bought a pair and my wife stole them from me. I even started using them at home when I was working on the computer and my wife/kid was watching TV. Then I bought some for my wife and finally for my mother. Now no one steals headphones from each other. My mother appreciated them very much during the long flight to Norway. Imagine the cost of all these headphones if we were to buy headphones priced over $200 a pair. You can wear them for hours without discomfort, they make the quietest movie easily audible, and they reduce airplane roar by about 50%, which is a huge benefit. I've worn them and the Bose ones work noticeably better, but they're not worth the money when you have to buy them for the whole family.
