Review on ZERO AUDIO Carbo Basso ZH-DX210-CB - In-Ear Stereo Headphone by Heather Marie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great full-spectrum sound detail and tight bass

I've been looking for a good sub-$50 In-Ear Monitor (IEM) for a long time. I was disappointed that most of the ones I tried had either decent bass but dirty highs, or good highs and a noticeable lack of bass. I'm just Zero Basso and using it as I write this review. ZERO delivers excellent detail across the spectrum while delivering good, clear bass. Some of the other IEMs I've tried require a deep liner, which I find very uncomfortable for 15+ minutes. The Zeros are light in the ear and offer decent noise isolation, although not as strong as the Etymiotics or Koss Plug. I ended up using the smallest flange (it comes in S, M, and L sizes). As long as they are tight and don't fall out when you move them. I use them with a FIIO X1 player and they don't seem to require an amp which I like to use with some of my open back in-ear headphones. The Zero sounds way better than others I've tried in this price range. There's not really a soundstage, but that's hard to achieve with IEM, so I don't blame them. I will update this review in a few weeks.
