I bought this to build 18650 packs. I've never spot welded before and thought about welding but really just wanted something finished. Charging took about 30 minutes. (as stated in the attached documentation) and it displayed the capacitor voltage all the time during charging. Once charged, I was able to increase and decrease the value of "t" using the buttons on the device. It doesn't look like I can set the current or time independently, but I think the value of t is probably sufficient. I started at 1t and went up 1t before stopping at 15t and testing the weld on two nickel strips for each t. Haven't tried this on actual 18650 cells yet, but I don't seem to have any problems. I could weld 4 30 ton thick nickel strips and could not separate them.
