A 1/2 inch line was attached to a pump and dispensed much more water than the 1 inch gravity tubes could handle BUT this is good news for what the pump is capable of.

I have not tested the overall performance of the unit but I am currently using a 3/8" OD x 1/4" ID hose to add water to a 5 point aquaponic tank circulate . a system I built that delivers about 40 gallons per hour. The pump was fitted with 1/2" tubing and dispensed much more water than the 1" downspouts could handle BUT this is good news as far as the pump can perform when needed. I love this pump and would recommend it.
