Review on 🔧 Origin8 DER Part OR8 Direct CLAMP ADPTR 34.9 Black for 68/73 & 100mm by Alex Barr

This adapter is the most suitable for my needs. I mean now I have a derailleur on my bike and I can ride with it, but I found 2 problems with this clamp. 1. Maybe the problem is not Origin8. Almost every clip on the derailleur comes with shims (cheap plastic pieces) to adjust the large clip (like 34.9mm) to other sizes (like 28.6 which I needed). This clamp is supplied without seals. That means you have to order some parts or go to LBS to get the seals. I knew this when I ordered this part, but it seems very cheap not to include spacers (cheap plastic pieces), even if the price goes up a dollar or two.2. This is an Origin9 issue. This adapter is sloppy. The slot the switch is indexing from is too wide. This resulted in some forward/backward shifting of the switch that had to be accounted for during installation. This means I couldn't place the outer plate as close to my teeth as I normally would (as recommended by the manufacturers). Overall this hasn't changed the properties of the switch yet, but tighter tolerances would result in a higher quality part.
