These Moog forged steel lower control arms were used to replace the fragile aluminum control arms that came with Original Equipment. This is a nice upgrade that includes a lubricated ball joint and all bushings are already pressed in. No difference in driving performance was noted. The original aluminum lower arm shattered when our 11 year old Ram 1500 4x4 slid into a ditch and hit a rock at very low speed. caused significant damage and removed the strut, CV axle and intermediate axle shafts and pushed the wheel up and back, damaging the front fender. lower strut screw as it is very likely that the originals are jammed and will need to be cut out to remove the arm. Mount the back with anti-seize coating for easy maintenance. d in the future and properly leveled after repairs are completed.
