So there are two guinea pigs in the house, they're not in the same cage, some days they don't particularly like each other, but their cages are next to each other in hopes that someday we can get them to call a truce and get one large cage for both of them. One of them is one I hardly ever see, she hides in her hidey hole and the first time I was tasked with guinea pig sitting (they're my daughters) I was pretty sure I lost her when I cleaned out her cage, but she never came out of the stupid hole. I got this for her in hopes that at the very least she'd have another space to hide, a comfy one, but options are nice.Worked exactly as planned, now I can clean her cage when I'm sitting, and I can tell she's in this thing, so I can dismantle the bottom of her cage and get it fully clean if needed. It's attached to the top of the cage, so I just take that off and pop it onto a towel in case she does decide she wants to come out. Then I can clean the bottom all at once, instead of in chunks waiting her to move to another hidey area. I do have to wait for her to come out, but because the cage top doesn't get dirty, I can just pop this out and into the washer when she's eating. I do get a cold stare when I do this, but literally feeding time is the only time I see her, though my daughter swears she's out all the time when it's just her. I too don't like other people much, so I can understand the hiding thing, I'm just glad she has options now, and a comfy one she seems to love.
