Wide range of connections, multi-monitor solution on M1 platform

I really wanted to be able to continue using multiple monitors with my home office setup after upgrading to the M1 MacBook Pro. I also wanted everything to connect through a single Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port rather than having to use a second TB3 port with the charger. Other docks have DisplayLink capabilities that let you use two external monitors on the new MacBook M1s, but many don't have PD or USB-C ports in addition to USB-A (USB 3.0) ports. Setting up the dock and installing the DisplayLink drivers was an easy process, and I have almost all the ports I need. The arrangement of 2 USB Type-A ports and 2 USB-C ports on the front of the docking station is very practical. I can connect 2 monitors in landscape mode without any problems, one of them is an ultra wide monitor (3440x1440, 100Hz) via DisplayPort. The only downside here is that the secondary monitor, which I normally use in portrait mode, should work in landscape mode on my M1 Mac when I dock it. This is a known issue with the DisplayLink hardware/software on the M1 platform, so I cannot blame Wavlink for this issue, but I still think it is necessary to undock the star from the DisplayLink dock due to this limitation remove. There is a workaround: I connected this monitor to a TB3 -> HDMI dongle that plugs directly into the second TB3 port on the MacBook and I can rotate it to portrait mode. Hopefully the DisplayLink team can fix this issue in the next driver release.
