Review on ๐Ÿฆต OTC Large Orthotex Knee Stabilizer with Hinged Bars by David Gibbs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfortable and well made

About 10 days ago I managed to ruin my knee. I'm not sure what I did, but I know it's not a break. I went to the ER and the brace they "gave" me disintegrated by the time I got out of the ER. (sew on fell apart). I ordered these braces from Revain and they were shipped the next day. It arrived quickly. This is a great bracket. It seems to be excellently made and this Celtic, fair-skinned, highly allergic woman doesn't itch like she's in the hospital. This is a tension brace, so you may need help if you don't have knee mobility. It has 2 detachable Velcro straps that you can slide and reposition as needed. I have a strap that goes through the patella as it is the narrowest part of the leg. It does a good job of keeping the braces from moving. It has 2 metal supports, one on each side, which are articulated and allow you to bend your knee but prevent joint instability and movements not appropriate for an injured knee. Knee measurements and sizing seem accurate, but if you have thick or full legs it might be a little tight. It might be wiser to size up and use straps to adjust the brace to your size. It's not cheap but I think it's the best braces I've ever seen. I will take a spare so I can wash and wear one.
